Bio
I’m Howard Dixon. I’m a digital artist. When I was in high school I got dragged into art class against my will by my soon-to-be art teacher — he tortured us every day for two hours playing Pink Floyd’s The Wall on repeat. I got bored of drawing and my mother purchased a Bob Ross set for me for Christmas. It was a disaster. I got frustrated and quit for twenty years. I bought a Wacom tablet in 2016, being inspired by some digital art I saw online. I fucked around for a year, but dropped it. I pulled it out of the attic last year, worked really hard, and noticed a large jump in my ability. Now I’m painting again and my work is better than it’s ever been.
I’m a truck driver by day, a banjo player by night, a chess player who loses to guys half my age, and I make YouTube tutorials at HRDixon-Art.
“Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working.”
